PETALING JAYA: A mother of two was abducted outside a Klang factory where she worked after she met with a man who claimed he was delivering a parcel to her.
A video taken from the factory’s closed-circuit television (CCTV) showed S Jothimani, a 49-year-old production line leader, being bundled into a white Mercedes-Benz by two men and driven off.
Other workers who witnessed the abduction tried to give chase but were unable to catch up.
The video of the incident, which happened about 9.40am, was subsequently uploaded to the internet, where it was viewed over 20,000 times and shared over 5,000 times within five hours.
According to Shah Alam police chief Assistant Commissioner Shafien Mamat, a police report has been lodged.
The police are currently investigating the incident.
