Part 2 Arab Saudi Tipu Melayu (PAS, ABIM, IKRAM etc) : Jazirat Tiran, Israel, Gaza And Jerusalem

This is the Great Game in full swing in the Middle East. Read carefully folks. This is going to happen whether you like it or not.

Yesterday President Donald Trump gave the go ahead for the United States to move its embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

This means that bus companies and bus drivers in places like Pakistan must be prepared to see angry mobs burning their buses. Most likely beginning tomorrow which is a Friday - usually a good day for burning their own buses, getting shot by their own police, screaming in front of the US Embassy and such. Normal behaviour in many Islamic countries.

Just got this. I told you so.

While the Arabs and other Muslims around the world will be tripping and falling as usual in their daily lives other things are being planned by other people that will have great impact on Muslims.

Not noticed by many Muslims, especially the Malays, a significant event has taken place between Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Egypt (and also Israel).

Some background. In 1979 the Camp David peace treaty was signed between Egypt and Israel. Thus ending 31 years of conflict between them. The terms of the Camp David accords included
  • Israel handing the occupied Sinai Peninsula back to Egypt
  • complete ban on the Egyptian military crossing the Suez Canal into the Sinai
  • unrestricted shipping access to the Israeli port of Eilat in the Gulf of Aqaba
  • presence of the US Marines and a Multi National Observer Force in Sharm El Sheikh to monitor the shipping lanes and the treaty.

The entire Gulf of Aqaba is an ecological paradise for marine life. In the 90s I had the pleasure of swimming in this warm Gulf and visiting Sharm El Sheikh and St Catherine in the Sinai.

Just off Sharm El Sheikh are two small Egyptian islands or "jazeerah" known as Tiran and Sanafir which guard the entrance to the Gulf of Aqaba. As part of the Camp David treaty these islands have been heavily mined (insane isnt it) to prevent anyone from accessing these most important islands.

Whoever controls these islands can choke off the Israeli port of Eilat and the Jordanian port of Aqaba which shares a border fence with Eilat.

Last year, these two islands were voluntarily handed over by the Egyptian government to Saudi Arabia. The handover has caused significant protest inside Egypt.

Israel however has played a quiet but very big part in this handover.

First of all since the two islands are part of the Camp David treaty, the Egyptians and the Saudis had to get Israeli consent for the handover.

The Israelis have done so but with huge strings attached.

The strings are attached to Gaza, Jerusalem, the West Bank, the Palestinian issue,  Jordan, Egypt,  Saudi Arabia,  Al Qaeda, ISIS,  Yemen, Hezbollah and Iran. And Donald Trump is also behind this 'ultimate deal'.

Here is some news,

JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israel consents to Egypt’s return of two islands to Saudi

Riyadh undertakes to respect relevant terms of Israeli-Egyptian peace deal.

1967 Egypt blocked Strait of Tiran that prompted Middle East war.
1979 peace deal Cairo promised freedom of shipping in Aqaba and Eilat
commitment that Saudi will uphold when it takes over the islands

Eilat is Israel’s only port in Gulf of Aqaba
Aqaba is Jordan’s sole outlet there.

Now here is a well researched article by Jonathan Cook.
Truncated for 'slow learners' !! (Just kidding).

strategy already has a name - “outside-in” approach.
Israel stand better chance to realise deal more to its liking.

Arab countries prefer to focus on Iran over Palestinian issue.
Palestinians are a hurdle to regional strategy.

outlines of US-Israeli-Saudi-Egyptian plan for Palestinians emerge.
“secret program” involve US, Europe, Egypt and Gulf states

would offer Hamas a mini-state in Gaza under Egypt
cementing enclave’s separation from West Bank
Egypt, Saudi would use Mohammed Dahlan, rival to Abbas, as their man
Earlier this month Hamas leaders met Dahlan in Cairo.

In return, Arab states would pump millions into economy
Egypt would open Rafah crossing to Gaza
increase electricity supply to Gaza

West Bank become Jordan’s responsibility.
Amman won’t be able to resist pressure from Saudi, Egypt, Israel, US

pressure Hamas into ceasefire and demilitarisation in return for aid.

My comments : Online media says the two uninhabited islands of Tiran and Sanafir are being used for military training between Israel and Saudi Arabia.

My guess is Crown Prince Mohamed Bin Salman's secret visit to Saudi Arabia in September was to sign this deal. The Israeli condition for Saudi Arabia to take over these two islands is that Saudi Arabia must step into the Camp David Treaty between Israel and Egypt and guarantee uninterrupted access to the sea lanes going up to the Israeli port of Eilat.

It is a backdoor "official recognition" of Israel by Saudi Arabia.

In return Israel will help Saudi Arabia fight Iran.
Saudi airspace is already open to the Israeli Airforce.

What happens to the Palestinians?
Gaza goes "back" to Egypt.
The West Bank will be more complicated.
After a while all Gazans will have Egyptian passports and become Egyptians.
Arab West Bankers may become Jordanians.
No more Gaza. No more West Bank??
End of Palestinian problem.

Bottom line : the Arabs are doing what they do best - sell each other out.
So janganlah orang Melayu begitu bodoh terpengaruh dengan onar pak arab padang pasir.

Relak brader. Elok jaga tepi kain sendiri yang makin lama makin kotor dan koyak.
Piti makin habis.
