Strong winds and rough seas until Tuesday

KUALA LUMPUR: Strong northeasterly winds up to 50-60kmph and waves up to 4.5m are expected to hit the southeastern waters off Samui, Condore, Reef North, Layang-Layang, northwest of Palawan, Tioman, north of Bunguran and the northwest of Reef South from today until Tuesday (Dec 19).
The Meteorological Department in a statement today said that strong winds and rough seas were dangerous to all shipping and beach activities including fishing and ferry services.
Meanwhile, strong northeasterly winds with speeds of 40-50 kmph and waves up to 3.5m are also expected to occur over the waters off central Samui, south of Bunguran, south of Reef South, southeast of Reef North, Labuan and east of Palawan from today until Tuesday.
A similar situation is also expected to occur in the waters off Sarawak, Sabah (rural area, west coast, and Kudat) and Labuan until Tuesday. — BERNAMA
