No more white shoes in schools from next year, says Maszlee

Education Minister Maszlee Malik today delivered some good news for parents of school-going children who requested a review on the use of white shoes as part of the standard uniform.

Speaking during a Sinar Harian forum in Shah Alam, he said beginning from next year, all school children will instead wear black coloured shoes.

"Parents have requested for their children (students) to not wear white shoes. We agreed, so beginning from next year, we will use black shoes for students.

"No more white shoes," he said.
