Anthony Loke: Pasir Gudang will face higher risks with Seletar's ILS

PETALING JAYA: The Pasir Gudang port will encounter higher risks due to the height that Singapore wants to set for Seletar Airport's Instrument Landing System (ILS), said Transport Minister Anthony Loke (pic).
"Even a crane would break the height limit. We can't even build tall buildings over Pasir Gudang if we allow that flight path," Loke said in an infographic video posted on his Facebook page.
In the video on Tuesday (Dec 11), he urged Singapore to withdraw the ILS used by Seletar Airport, which Singapore wants to implement from Jan 3.
On Monday (Dec 10), the Transport Ministry accused its Singaporean counterpart of disclosing partial and selective information over the proposed ILS procedure for Seletar Airport.
Loke said that while it appreciated Singapore's efforts at promoting transparency by releasing documents related to consultations held with Malaysia on Dec 4, the disclosure was "partial and selective with the primary aim of influencing public opinion".- Star
