Why is there no prosecution yet on Tan Sri S. A. Vigneswaran, Senate President and MIC President for breaking the law for not observing protocol at KLIA at 10.14pm on 14 November 2018.
It was revealed that Vigneswaran had worn slippers in the VIP lane, refuse to produce his VIP Authority Card and had been rude and "shouted at" to the security personnel who was attending to him and had continued to encroach into the security area without going through the usual security checks.
Ordinary Malaysians feel that the authorities seem to treat VIP and ordinary citizens differently while the application of the law is immediate on ordinary Malaysians who break the law while VIP's who break the law are given many leeways and prosecution on them is usually delayed.
Prosecution on any law-breaker should be found to be applied fairly and equally on anyone irrespective of their status.
Can we see Vigneswaran been charged immediately for the protocol violation offence at KLIA by the authorities concerned. - Mohd. Kamal Abdullah
