Former 1MDB president Arul Kanda Kandasamy had arrived at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court where is he scheduled to be charged with abetting in aiding to tamper the 1MDB audit report.
Escorted by the officers from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), he was met on arrival by his lawyer N Sivananthan.
Arul Kanda was arrested by the MACC yesterday morning when he arrived at the commission's headquarters in Putrajaya for questioning (picture, above) and had been detained overnight.
Also arriving at the court complex not long after is former premier Najib Abdul Razak, who is expected to be charged today in relation to the same matter.
Arul Kanda is expected to be charged before Sessions judge Rozina Ayob while Najib would be at the Sessions judge Azura Alwi's court.
