The son of assassinated banker, founder of AmBank, Hussain Najadi has been subjected to a series of death threats combined with blackmail attempts from an apparent fraudster seeking money to reveal a plot to take his life.
“I am forced to take such matters seriously when the assassination of my father remains unresolved”
AmBank Founder Hussain Najadi was shot dead in KL, Malaysia July 29th 2013. Emails sent to his son’s personal email earlier this week under a subject line “Top Secret: Assassination Plot” claimed to have ‘intelligence information’ about a ‘plan to assassinate you’.
The anonymous emailer who uses a protonmail address GR432990 claimed to be able to pass the name of the person/persons behind the plot and emails and audio evidence to prove that evidence, but only on the production of ten bitcoins to an anonymous address 3NkLLe2rSSymAgRLAwyunppKayVcStZmxX.
Pascal Najadi, who currently resides in Moscow, Russia, has alerted the Russian FSB to deal with the threat and says he is concerned that anyone should make such vicious overtures to someone is his situation.
I am aware that a number of other individuals associated with 1MDB, including journalists have also been approached by the same individual or syndicate making similar threats or seeking money for alleged information, including claiming to have knowledge of the whereabouts of Jho Low.
“One thing these approaches seem to have in common is the same protonmail ID GR432990 and in at least one case the same bitcoin account has been used in the demands to receive money. However, it appears other bitcoin accounts are also being cited in various demands.”
Mr Najadi says the matter is now in the hands of various authorities who take such matters extremely seriously. Meanwhile, he would welcome information from any others who may have received similar threats and fraudulent emails. Any such information can be forwarded to security@najadi.ru
“It is hard to think how anyone could sink so low to attempt to profit in such a way and this dangerous and despicable individual needs to be caught and punished” [Pascal Najadi]
