HADI SPEWS RACIAL HATRED AT ANTI-ICERD RALLY: ‘NON-MALAYS SHOULD BE THANKFUL MUSLIMS LET THEM STAY’ – YET HE SHOULD THANK MAHATHIR’S MULTIRACIAL GOVT FOR NOT RATIFYING ICERD & HAVING THE GUTS TO LET THE RALLY PROCEED & DOING ALL THEY CAN TO ENSURE NO UNTOWARD INCIDENTS

NON-MALAYS should be grateful that they were welcomed by Muslims to Malaya despite coming as coolies, said PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang.
“The migrants were brought here by the colonialists, and it is the compassion of Muslims that accepted anyone.
“How else could small families of Indians and Chinese live and be treated well in Malay-majority Kelantan and Kedah?” said Hadi as the final speaker at the “Bantah ICERD” rally in downtown Kuala Lumpur today.
“But now there are political parties that want to show off with their simple majority…a victory that came from us,” said the 71-year-old Islamist.

“Do those who voted for Pakatan know of the social contract that forms the basis of the Federal Constitution; that Islam is the official religion, while other religions can be freely practiced, and Malay rights, without sidelining other races, already exists? Isn’t our social contract better than ICERD?”
The Marang MP said Malaysia was more civilised than the West that valued animal rights more than human rights.
“How bold they were to attempt to bring ICERD to Parliament,” said Hadi, explaining why decided to take the issue to a street protest.
He said when the Portuguese invaded Malacca in the 16th century, Muslims were the only ones who opposed the invaders.
“They were not afraid of the colonialists canons or guns. They opposed them with their keris when nobody else would.”
Hadi closed his speech with a poem warning PH against bringing up the ICERD issue again.
“Don’t oppose the wave and beware the backlash if you stir the hornets’ nest,” said Hadi.
Although held in tandem with Umno and other Islamic pressure groups, the rally was attended by tens of thousands of mainly PAS supporters.
Also present at the rally were Umno president Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, deputy president Mohamad Hasan and former president Najib Razak and his wife Rosmah Mansor.
Other notable attendees from  Umno were Annuar Musa, Ahmad Maslan, Tajuddin Abdul Rahman and Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki.
