PKR president Anwar Ibrahim has reminded his MCA counterpart Wee Ka Siong that Pakatan Harapan inherited a "rotten system" from BN.
Anwar was responding to Wee's speech at the MCA annual general meeting earlier today, in which the latter claimed that the Harapan administration was a "stumbling block to the people's pursuit of happiness" as it knew little about how to run the country.
“Of course I dispute the position taken by Wee, because we inherited such a rotten system, with institutions of government failing.
"So it is a major task,” he told a press conference after launching Setiawangsa MP Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad's book, 9 May 2018: Notes from the Frontline.
Anwar also pointed out that Harapan under the leadership of Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad has managed to give the people a renewed sense of confidence.
This, he added, was achieved despite the coalition being in power for just six months, and being hindered by numerous obstacles.
Commenting on Bersatu launching their Sarawak chapter last night, Anwar stressed that every political party has the right to organise and expand their activities in any part of the country.
“If they want to establish (in Sarawak), it is up to Sarawak and Bersatu to formulate their programmes,” he said. -Mkini
