LIKE UMNO, PAS NO LONGER FEARS GOD: INSTEAD OF PUTTING MUSLIM PILGRIMS FIRST & DEFENDING THEIR SAVINGS – HADI & CO ACCUSE PAKATAN OF USING TABUNG HAJI CORRUPTION TO DISTRACT THEM FROM SENDING ‘MESSAGE TO THE WORLD’ ON ICERD

KUALA LUMPUR― PAS has warned Putrajaya against distracting the public from a planned rally against the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (ICERD) by zooming on Lembaga Tabung Haji’s (TH) misappropriations.
The Islamist party also warned Putrajaya against attempting to destroy an Islamic institution and erode Muslims’ trust in the pilgrim fund.
“Don’t let it be done only to distract the people’s attention especially Muslims and Malays from the anti-ICERD rally held this Saturday,” PAS information chief Nasrudin Hassan said in a statement, referring to any action against TH.
“Even more unfortunate if it was done with bad intention and with certain agenda to destroy an Islamic institution, and to reduce Muslims’ trust, especially the depositors, towards TH.”

The senior staff are Datuk Adi Azuan (Chief Operating Officer) and Datuk Rozaida Omar (Chief Financial Officer), Hazlina Mohd Khalid (Legal Adviser) and Rifina Md Ariff (Senior General Manager, Corporate Services and Real Estate).
The reports lodged last Friday were the first following internal investigations into past transactions, spearheaded by the new management, since July 2018.
PAS also warned against the issue being judged by the court of public opinion, and hoped that the move is not a revenge move towards the previous Barisan Nasional regime.
“Wrong is still wrong, there is no compromise towards the wrong. But determine the offence through proper process of justice with the rule of law principles.
“What is right is right. So don’t destroy the truth with slander and prejudice. In the end the value of truth will be tarnished,” he added.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Datuk Seri Mujahid Yusof Rawa had on Saturday issued a statement reiterating that the government would not compromise on action against anyone involved in the embezzlement of TH’s depositors’ money.
Subsequently, TH group managing director Datuk Seri Zukri Samat assured depositors that their savings are safe. -MALAY MAIL

PAS wants anti-ICERD rally to send clear message to the world

ISLAMIST party PAS said it will proceed with taking part in a rally against the international anti-discrimination treaty, ICERD, despite the misgivings of other Muslim leaders who want the protest to be called off.
The rally was needed to send a strong message to the international community and the Malaysian government that the people would not accept the ratification of the International Convention on the Elimination of all forms of Racial Discrimination (ICERD), said PAS spiritual leader Hashim Jasin.
“The rally needs to go on even though the government has given guarantees that ICERD will not be ratified,” Hashim said after PAS hosted an anti-ICERD rally in Perlis last night.
“This is the opportunity to tell the people and the world that this is a sensitive matter and that Muslims cannot accept it.”
Even after the government said on November 23 that it will not ratify ICERD, PAS, Umno and Malay supremacist groups said the December 8 anti-ICERD rally will still go on.

However, some Muslim groups have spoken out against the rally following riots that broke out last week over the relocation of a Hindu temple in Selangor.
The muftis of Kelantan, Perak, Penang and Negri Sembilan have also publicly urged the organisers to cancel the rally since the government has shelved its plan to ratify ICERD.
In his speech earlier at the Perlis rally, Hashim said the ICERD issue has revived the spirits of Umno and PAS members after their defeat in the 14th general election.
“Before the ICERD issue, PAS and Umno members were on their deathbeds. But when the ICERD issue cropped up, they became alive again.”
Present yesterday were Umno Supreme Council member Tajuddin Abdul Rahman, Arau MP Shahidan Kassim and Perlis PAS commissioner Mohd Shukri Ramli. THE MALAYSIAN INSIGHT
