IPOH: Muslims members in Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) must not assume that non-Muslim members are "second-class citizens" in the party, says Datuk Dr Mujahid Yusof Rawa (pic).
"This is a warning from me, if there are any complaints of them (non-Muslims) being sidelined, action will be taken.
"Don't even, or ever think, that they don't have any rights merely because they are non-Muslims. Be careful," said the party's vice-president in his winding up speech at Amanah's National Convention here on Sunday (Dec 16).
Dr Mujahid, who is also Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (for Islamic affairs), said if this was the thinking of some members, then they were not fit to be in the party.
"I mean it from the bottom of my heart," he added.-Star
