KUALA LUMPUR: Umno supreme council member Lokman Noor Adam says he is ready to be charged in court, after giving his statement to police over his claim Inspector-General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador had lied about the authenticity of a gay sex video allegedly implicating a minister.
“It will be the best platform for me to present the report that I received from forensic experts in Indonesia which had confirmed the authenticity of the video recording,” he told reporters after his statement was recorded at Bukit Aman today.
He said his statement was taken in 15 minutes but what took so long for him to emerge was “the discussion among them on whether to detain or to release me”.
Lokman had said that forensic experts in Indonesia had confirmed the authenticity of the video recording, adding that there was no evidence of it being manipulated or edited.
Last week, Hamid was reported to have said local experts held that the video could be authentic but said the actors could not be positively identified.
Former Santubong PKR Youth chief Haziq Aziz had identified himself as one of the men and also named Economic Affairs Minister Mohamed Azmin Ali as the other.
Azmin has strongly denied the claim. - FMT
