78NEWSLawyer: Income tax demand will bankrupt Najib, disqualify him as MP
Najib to file application for a stay of proceedings of IRB's lawsuit, which seeks RM1.69b in income tax.
There should be NO EXCEPTION to the Rule or special treatment be granted to Najib Razak.
Najib Razak has to settle the full sum or be declared a bankrupt.
His appeal should only be CONSIDERED once he settles his full tax dues.
When he was Finance Minister and Prime Minister, many Malaysians affected by the sudden extra tax dues claimed by LHDN wrote to Najib Razak to consider their excessive tax payment claims but he and his Inland Revenue Board just ignored their plea. The LHDN replied that full settlement must be made immediately before any appeals could ever be considered. Once full settlement were made, no appeal were considered and the poor taxpayer was forced to accept the overdue forced tax dues.
So, Najib Razak pay up or be a bankrupt and lose your Pekan MP seat. - Mohd. Kamal Abdullah
