The criminal trial of former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak involving the alleged misappropriation of funds from SRC International Sdn Bhd enters its 43rd day today at the High Court in Kuala Lumpur.
Malaysiakini brings you live reports of the proceedings.
Key prosecution witness Joanna Yu Ging Ping will undergo a third day of testimony today in former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak's trial involving the misappropriation of RM42 million from SRC International Sdn Bhd.
As proceedings before Kuala Lumpur High Court judge Mohd Nazlan Mohd Ghazali enter the 43rd day, former AmBank relationship manager Yu is expected to be cross-examined further by defence counsel Harvinderjit Singh.
Based on the trend of cross-examination over the past two days, Najib’s defence team may probe her over the phone chat logs between her and fugitive businessperson Low Taek Jho, her dealings with then SRC International CEO and mandate holder of Najib's accounts Nik Faisal Ariff Kamil, and the extent of her role in the monetary trail and transactions involving the accused’s AmBank accounts, among others. - Mkini
