An Umno leader plans to engage a video forensic expert in Indonesia to determine the authenticity of a sex video implicating Economic Affairs Minister Azmin Ali.
Umno supreme council member Lokman Adam who said he would this as he believed Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad would withhold from Malaysians the truth of the scandal.
Lokman, who appeared at the Parliament building earlier today, said he would fly to Indonesia on the night of July 11, one month after clips of the sex video went viral.
"If the (Malaysian investigation's outcome) into the video is presented to Home Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and Mahathir, then the people will not get to know the truth," he said.
"So I am here to announce a mission to uncover the truth," he said at a press conference outside the Parliament building (above).
"I will go to Indonesia together with the video clips and hand them over to a video forensic company which is often engaged by the Indonesian government to ascertain the authencity of videos in court," he said.
He said he will livestream the announcement of the video's report once he received it, adding he expected the analysis to be done by next Wednesday.
Lokman said he will also submit the Indonesian report to the Malaysian police.
