Spate of arrests made over home break-ins, robberies



SERDANG: Two men in their 20s were arrested five hours after they broke into a house in Puchong and stole a vehicle.
The suspects are believed to be responsible for a spate of home break-ins in Serdang, Johor and Klang.
Serdang OCPD Asst Comm Ismadi Borhan said police also recovered stolen loot, including 33 wrist watches, 22 mobile phones and two vehicles.
"Both suspects have criminal records for theft and drug-related offences. They have been remanded until Tuesday (July 30)," he said.

In another case, two men and a woman were detained for their involvement in several robberies in Seri Kembangan, ACP Ismadi said.

"Two of the suspects have records for drug offences and theft.We also seized a car believed to have been used for the robberies," he said.
Meanwhile, the police arrested three more men who are believed to have been responsible for home break-ins in Bandar Kinrara.
"They were arrested at 11.45am on Tuesday. We also seized a motorcycle, a laptop, a gold bracelet and handbags from the suspects," he said.
ACP Ismadi said the suspects were also responsible for other cases in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur.
"They have been remanded until Tuesday (July 30)," he said.- Star
