KUALA LUMPUR: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah has reminded Malaysians and requested all related agencies to prepare for possible floods during the monsoon season.
"The Malaysian Meteorology Department has recently forecast continuous heavy rainfall and the risk of large-scale flooding from mid-November.
"Such preparations will not only focus on reducing the effects of flooding but to develop an effective and structured method of assistance distributed to the flood victims," he said in his speech at the national level 2022 (1444H) Maulidur Rasul celebration held at the Kuala Lumpur World Trade Centre today.
