KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia played six times and lost six times in the women's Twenty20 Cricket Asia Cup.
The national team ended their outing in Bangladesh by losing to Thailand by 50 runs at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
Malaysia won the toss and elected to field first. Thailand, who upset Pakistan by four wickets and beat United Arab Emirates by 19 runs, made 115 runs with the loss of five wickets.
Chasing 116 runs, Malaysia's batters again were a letdown as they could muster only 65 runs with eight wickets down.
Nannapat Koncharoenkai made 41 runs in 45 balls for Thailand while compatriots Naruemoi Chaiwai made 28 runs in 36 balls.
Malaysia's Mahirah Izzati Ismail scored 17 runs while captain Winifred Duraisingham and Elsa Hunter each made 15 runs. - NST
