PETALING JAYA: Phahrolrazi Zawawi may have been sacked by Amanah but he continues to hit the campaign trail all over Kedah for Pakatan Harapan (PH).
Phahrolrazi was Amanah chief in Kedah until he was dismissed from the party on Oct 30 for allegedly violating its constitution.
He said he was campaigning for PH in his personal capacity as he wanted the coalition to win and PH chairman Anwar Ibrahim to become the next prime minister.
“I’m certain I still have the ability to help PH candidates win in this state (Kedah).
“My dream is to see Anwar become prime minister and for that reason, I continue to campaign for PH,” Utusan Malaysia quoted him as saying.
Phahrolrazi’s dismissal came in the wake of a report by Malaysian Gazette that Kedah Amanah leaders would be boycotting the PH candidate for Jerai in the general election.
There have been grumblings about the DAP’s decision to field its Kedah deputy chief Zulhazmi Shariff in the contest.
Phahrolrazi said he had yet to decide whether or not to appeal against his dismissal from Amanah or to join another party within PH.
“I will only make a decision after the election,” he said.
He said his focus was on helping PH win the election and urged his supporters to do the same. - FMT
