COVID-19 | The Health Ministry reported 285 new Covid-19 cases yesterday, bringing the total cumulative cases to 5,034,228.
Active infections stood at 10,355, down 9.4 percent compared to 14 days ago.
New cases according to states are as follows:
Selangor (98)
Kuala Lumpur (69)
Malacca (21)
Johor (15)
Perak (14)
Sarawak (13)
Penang (11)
Negeri Sembilan (9)
Putrajaya (9)
Kedah (8)
Pahang (6)
Sabah (4)
Kelantan (3)
Terengganu (3)
Perlis (1)
Labuan (1)
Another seven deaths attributed to the disease were reported yesterday, none of which were declared as "brought in dead".
Over the past week, an average of 3.1 people were reported to have died of Covid-19, while the average for the past 30 days was 3.6, indicating that such deaths are on the downtrend.
Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 36,930 deaths have been attributed to the coronavirus.
The deaths were in Selangor (4) and Kuala Lumpur (3).
There are 382 Covid-19 patients who are hospitalised of which 16 are in intensive care.
The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Selangor (46) followed by Sabah (42) and Kedah (10). - Mkini
