Tanah Merah police chief Haki Hasbullah says screenshots of an accident currently circulating on social media were not connected to Friday's incident.

Tanah Merah police chief Haki Hasbullah said screenshots of an accident currently circulating on social media were not connected to the incident three days ago, Bernama reported.
“It is irrelevant and misleading. Checks found that the screenshots were unrelated to the incident in Tanah Merah,” he was quoted as saying.
Haki also dismissed claims that the authorities had jumped to conclusions when issuing a statement yesterday. He said it was based on preliminary investigations at the scene and was not final. “The case remains subject to further investigation.”
Haki warned that action would be taken against those spreading misinformation.
Yesterday, Kelantan JPJ director Misuari Abdullah denied allegations circulating on social media that the department’s vehicle caused the crash.
The collision at 4.30pm on Friday involved a Perodua Myvi driven by Mursyid Azmi, 25, son of Astro Awani senior editor Husna Yusop, and a JPJ-owned Toyota Fortuner.
Mursyid was travelling from Ipoh, Perak, to Rantau Panjang, Pasir Mas. He is believed to have veered into the opposite lane before colliding with the Fortuner. - FMT
