Marine police commander says they were meant to be smuggled to Singapore by sea.

JOHOR BAHRU: The marine police foiled an attempt to smuggle lobster fry worth about RM13.4 million to Singapore by sea at Tanjung Belungkor yesterday evening.
Region Two commander Noor Azman Jamal said the seizure was carried out by a team from the Johor marine intelligence unit in collaboration with the state fisheries department after receiving information at about 6.30pm.
He said an inspection on a lorry at an illegal jetty led to the discovery of the lobster fry, which were stored in 124 polystyrene boxes at the rear of the vehicle.
Three male workers aged between 31 and 57 were detained for failing to produce export documents, he said in a statement. - FMT
