Tawau police nab teen for sending lewd pictures to girl via TikTok

 The 15-year-old boy had sent the 13-year-old girl pictures of his private parts, say police.

PETALING JAYA:

 Police in Tawau, Sabah, arrested a 15-year-old boy this afternoon for sending pictures of his private parts to a 13-year-old girl on TikTok.

Tawau police chief Jasmin Hussin said the teenager was arrested at 1.10pm after a report was lodged by the victim, Sinar Harian reported.

The girl said she was at a fast-food restaurant when she received obscene messages from the suspect at around 7pm on April 29.

Jasmin said the suspect also sent pictures of his private parts. This caused the victim to fear for her safety.

Jasmin said a police team seized the teenager’s phone. The suspect has no previous criminal record.

The case is being investigated under Section 15(e) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017 for non-physical sexual assault and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 for improper use of network facilities. - FMT
