DUNGUN: A 47-year-old woman is feared to have drowned today after reportedly falling from the Sungai Paka bridge about 100 metres from her home near Bandar Al-Muktafi Billah Shah.
Dungun police chief Nik Ab Halim Nik Mat said the woman’s father, Din Zakaria, 77, who witnessed the incident, was unable to save her.
His daughter, Nor Haslini Dim, 47, is believed to have fallen from the bridge, which is located 100 metres from her home, at 10.30am. “She is believed to have been swept away by the strong current,” the police said.
The woman’s body has yet to be found. - FMT
