KUALA LUMPUR: Paralympic champion Bonnie Bunyau Gustin secured Malaysia's first medal at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games after winning bronze in the powerlifting event at the SEC Armadillo in Glasgow on Friday.
Bonnie missed out on the gold by the narrowest of margins after lifting 153.5kg in the men's lightwieght to finish behind England's Mark Swan, who registered 153.9kg.
Swan won the gold on countback, while Nigeria's Roland Ezuruike settled for silver after also lifting 153.9kg. - NST
