Another Free Public Holiday After Deepavali?

My calendar says that this year's Deepavali falls on Wednesday 18th October 2017. 

There is no sighting of the moon involved to determine Deepavali, since the 5000 or more years old Hindu civilisation can calculate the position of the sun and the moon in the sky to substantial degrees of accuracy (On account of the simple fact that the sun and the moon are fixed in their positions and movements in the cosmos. They do not change. The sun does not overtake the moon nor does the moon overtake the sun.)

Deepavali is a one day holiday in Malaysia except in Sarawak. However a little bird informs me that  this year the Kleptocracy may declare a free holiday on Thursday 19th October 2017.  So there will be a two day public holiday for Deepavali.

The Kleptocracy is running the country into the ground. They do not know how to turn the situation around. They are totally blank.

So to appease the masses they are declaring free public holidays. The last one was a free public holiday after the SEA Games were over. Not everyone was happy to get another day off. It is lost production, lost business, lost opportunities. If you are a lazy bum then of course you will like holidays.

Now there are rumours about Deepavali.

The public holiday after the SEA Games were poorly planned. The moron announced it on Friday. The holiday was on the following Monday. Everyone was caught by surprise. My niece who flew back for the long weekend had already bought her reurn flight on Sunday. So the free public holiday on Monday was of no use.

If the Kleptocracy is going to declare another free public holiday the day after Deepavali then please make the announcement now itself. There is more than a month left.  People can adjust their return ticket bookings, factories can plan their working shifts, paying workers overtime etc. 

Pikir lah sikit ok. You cannot be that stupid. Or can you?
