Umno's information department will hold a series of roadshows to explain government policies to the masses and why Umno and BN must be retained as the ruling party.
In a statement yesterday, Umno information chief Annuar Musa said the roadshows will also brief the people on the success of Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's transformation policies.
Annuar said that the roadshows would be held in a townhall meeting style and stressed that this was Umno's new approach.
The maiden event would be held at Dewan Kompleks Yayasan Wangsa Perdana Taman Ibu Kota in Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur, this Sunday night.
Panelists include Annuar, Najib's political secretary Rosni Zahari and Umno Youth exco member Shahril Suffian Hamdan. The session will be moderated by talkshow host Dahlan Maamor.
"The dialogue will be attended by 500 people, including grassroots leaders, student leaders, NGO leaders, Malaysia4All information recipients and youth activists," Annuar said. -Mkini
