Why is Invoke engaging company owned by Rafizi, asks Rosmah’s aide

Rizal Mansor, the aide to Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak’s wife Rosmah Mansor, wants to know why PKR lawmaker Rafizi Ramli’s policy research body Invoke is engaging a company, also owned by him.
Rizal was referring to Rafizi who said that Invoke workers have contracts with a company named KEIP Resources Sdn Bhd, which has a human resource agreement with Invoke.
His checks found that KEIP Resources is operating near Invoke’s office although its registered address is in Temerloh.
“Checks also found that KEIP Resources does not engage in any activity relating to human resource, as claimed by Rafizi,” said Rizal in a statement.
A search under the Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM) also found that a Mohd Rafizi Ramli is the largest shareholder of the company, he added.
And the same Mohd Rafizi Ramli, as per the identity card number, is also the largest shareholder of Invoke Solutions Sdn Bhd, he said.
“This means that Rafizi provides human resource for Rafizi and Rafizi paid Rafizi hundreds of thousands a month on the pretext of providing human resource, from money collected by the people.
“In the end, he is the one who benefits while the victims are the people who were duped to donate to him.”
Rizal, citing salary records shown by Rafizi, said Invoke had paid KEIP Resources sums worth RM147,974.30 to RM350,608.64 between March to September this year.
“Almost RM1.3 million was paid to KEIP Resources in the seven months.”

Invoke, however, did not make any payment to KEIP Resources in July, Rizal noted.

“Only after Invoke managed to collect RM1.5 million from the public in August did it make payment to KEIP Resources twice on August 28. The first payment was RM 160,349.95 while the second payment was RM 156,132.10.”
In September, Invoke paid RM350,608.64 to KEIP Resources, he added.
Rafizi, when contacted by Malaysiakini, said he will issue a detailed explanation tomorrow.
Rizal, last week, began asking questions on the funding received by Invoke.
Rafizi has since produced a mountain of documents to respond to the five questions posed by Rizal.- Mkini
