KOTA KINABALU – Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi today attended the wedding of Kinabatangan lawmaker Datuk Seri Bung Mokhtar Radin’s son.
Zahid arrived at 7.50pm at the Magellan Sutera Habour here to witness the wedding reception of Bung’s second son, Mohd Kurniawan and Nur Atieqah Mohd Suffian.
About 1,400 guests attended the reception.
Zahid also took part in the ‘tepung tawar’ ritual for the newlyweds, who were dressed in matching pastel pink and beige traditional costumes.
Mohd Kurniawan, 23, is a businessman while his wife, 25, works with Sabah Economic Development and Investment Authority. Their marriage solemnisation ceremony was held at the Wisma SESB here on Friday.
Among those present were Chief Minister Tan Sri Musa Aman; Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Seri Salleh Said Keruak and Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek.
