Mengkibol rep ejected from Johor state assembly sitting

JOHOR DUN | Tan Hong Pin (DAP-Mengkibol) was ejected from the Johor state assembly sitting this afternoon after he repeatedly defied the speaker's order to sit down.
During a committee stage debate on the state's development allocations, Tan had stood up and demanded answers from Menteri Besar Mohamed Khaled Nordin, in relation to the budget for water supply projects.
However, Khaled insisted that he had previously responded to Tan's question and as such, would not answer his questions today.
Speaker Mohamad Aziz concurred with Khaled and eventually ordered Tan to be escorted out of the House.
"The answers were given but Yang Berhormat does not want to accept it," Mohamad said.
Contacted later, Tan said he had attempted to seek clarifications over the total of RM15 million in allocations for all water supply projects in the state next year.
Among others, Tan claimed that the amount would only be enough to fund one project, which Khaled had already announced last year - building connecting pipes to transfer water from the Kahang dam to Sembrong Timur.
"So, I just wanted clarification on where  the money is coming from."
He also claimed there was a confusion over the water transfer project status, as the federal government had announced it would be cancelled.
At the same time, he conceded that he had raised the same questions last week but was not satisfied with the answers given.- Mkini
