UMNO AGM | Voters will have to choose between a government led by Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak or Lim Kit Siang in the coming general election, according to Wanita Umno chief Shahrizat Abdul Jalil.
She also described the DAP veteran as “Maharaja Lim” (Emperor Lim).
"There are only two choices - a government led by Najib through BN or the opposition led by Kit Siang, 'Maharaja Lim' (Emperor Lim)," she said in her policy speech at the Wanita Umno general assembly at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) in Kuala Lumpur today.
She earlier reminded Wanita Umno delegates to ensure that the country does not fall to the opposition.
Having to choose between two options, Shahrizat said, the people should choose "the right side" led by Najib.
The people, she added, are aware of Najib's good record.
"(If you choose) left, you will choose a government led by DAP.
“Are Malaysians willing to submit the country, which we have built for so long, to chauvinistic leaders - leaders whose agenda worries us?" she asked.
To ensure that this does not occur, Shahrizat urged them to stand together with her and “fight till the end”.
Umno leaders have always accused DAP of being a threat to the special position of the Malays and Islam.
They have also claimed that it is the predominantly-Chinese DAP which calls the shots in the opposition coalition Pakatan Harapan.
DAP leaders have repeatedly denied these claims.
Taking to Twitter, Lim said Sharizat has a low IQ level if she believes her claim.
“IQ low if Shahrizat believes it; IQ passable, if she does not - but morality quotient, very low!” he said.
