AFTER PD, WILL MAHATHIR HANDOVER TO ANWAR? RELUCTANTLY OR WILLINGLY, DR M WON’T BE SO STUPID AS TO RISK DESTROYING MALAYSIA & HIS OWN LEGACY – ANWAR TOO UNLIKELY TO BE STUPID ENOUGH TO MAKE THE FIRST MOVE & GRAB POWER EVEN THOUGH HE CAN

The political scene in Malaysia now can be described in one word; ‘fluid’.

There are many talks and discussions being made between all political parties inter and intra both amongst both BN and PH  coalitions.

The social media is abuzz with various political scenarios, some are feasible, probable but all are possible simply because ‘nothing is impossible in politics’.

Mahathir has no choice but to make preparations for someone to take over in case something happens to him. He is 93 and neither getting younger nor stronger.

He has to make sure that  as long as he is alive, he must be able to have some influence in the government; any government for that matter.

It would be better for him to have a proxy, but the best would be some he would be able to directly manipulate; he wants to make sure that the 3rd national car project will be implemented and continue to exist and operational for years to come even after his death. He wants to prove the skeptics wrong.

Although he is concern about the economic and financial health of Malaysia, he knows that would take time and Lim Guan Eng (LGE) is having sleepless nights worrying about it and any government would be foolish to disrupt the groundwork that LGE has done so far. Any abrupt changes would be a double jeopardy after the hiccup in the local finance and economy caused by LGE’s announcement of the RM1 trillion government debts and the abolishment of the GST.The government (again, any government) is stuck with LGE’s economic plan.

Infact the present economic and financial situation makes it more eager for Mahathir to embark on the 3rd national car project. If it is successful, it would be a double blow for the skeptics and an amazement to the whole world on the impossible feat done by the 2nd time prime minister; the  93 years old man!.

Now, the whole world know that Anwar is the one most able to take over and he has been promised to take over from Mahathir.

Any disruption in the process or if the promised is not fulfilled, then the whole world will ridicule Mahathir more than Najib or Aung San Suu Kyii.

It would also be then end of PH. This the rakyat will never accept!

If this is done by Mahathir, then he will go into history as the most untrustworthy man, much more hated than Najib for breaking up PH.

Mahathir will not handover to Anwar if Anwar failed to be elected and  if he (Mahathir) is stupid enough to think that his son is capable to one day be the PM. Mukhriz or Mokhzani have no calibre at all to be in that position. They are not smart, even Najib is smarter compared to them.

I think Mahathir would not risk it. He will handover to Anwar whether reluctantly or willingly when it is due. Others can wait.

As for the 3rd national car project Mahathir will make sure it will be successful with the cooperation of several partners. He is wise enough to make sure it is a fully private initiative and the government will not lose money like Proton.

Whatever the government has in the project through the GLC would be minimal just to ensure that the government has some control regarding policies and inter-government dealings in the project.

But if Anwar is stupid enough to make the first move to grab power from Mahathir, that would be another story.

Well, being prudent it seems that Anwar’s supporters are clever enough to prepare for the worst.
