PETALING JAYA: A Bangladesh worker suffered head injuries after falling from a height of 40 feet when the plaster ceiling of a hotel lobby collapsed.
According to a bomba report, the incident happened at the lobby of Hilton Hotel, Kuala Lumpur on Sunday (Oct 14).
The ceiling collapse covered an area of 1,500sq and was said to be caused by repair works of electrical wiring.
Emergency services received a call at 3.40am and sent 26 fire and rescue personnel from three fire departments to the scene.
The victim, who suffered injuries to his head, received emergency treatment on the scene before being sent to University Malaya Medical Centre, the police said.
