Cops quiz Najib for 3 hours on 1MDB, missing 'RM43.3m'

Police questioned former premier Najib Abdul Razak for three hours at the commercial crimes investigation department (CCID) headquarters in Kuala Lumpur.
It is believed this was related to the 1MDB investigations.
A source with knowledge of the investigations said CCID officers also probed Najib on the alleged RM43.3 million which went missing during the raids at Pavilion Residences in Kuala Lumpur.
Najib arrived at the CCID office at Menara KPJ at about 9.50am.
He is believed to have entered the building through the parking lot – dodging media personnel who were gathered at the main entrance – and exited the building through the same entrance at about 1pm.
Umno supreme council member Lokman Noor Adam and about a dozen Najib supporters had gathered at the lobby to show moral support for their deposed leader.
Umno had filed a writ of summons in the High Court last month, claiming that RM160 million was seized from Pavilion Residences instead of RM116.7 million as announced by the police.
CCID chief Amar Singh had told the media last week that the former premier would be "called soon".
Amar had also said that police have recorded more than 70 statements including two from former 1MDB chief executive officer Arul Kanda Kandasamy.
Najib faces four charges of corruption involving RM2.282 billion involving 1MDB funds deposited into his personal account and 21 charges of money laundering involving the same amount.
He also faces three counts of criminal breach of trust and one charge of abuse of power involving RM42 million belonging to SRC International Sdn Bhd and three counts of money laundering involving the same amount. - Mkini
