FOR SURE ‘SOMETHING NOT RIGHT’ WHEN YOU’RE LOSING, RIGHT? AZMIN ATTACK DOGS TIAN CHUA & ZURAIDA CRY ‘IRREGULARITIES’ – YET ‘DON’T WANT TO SAY RIGGING OR NOT RIGGING’ IN PKR FT & PAHANG POLLS WHICH WERE WON BY RAFIZI

PKR vice-presidency candidates Zuraida Kamaruddin and Tian Chua claimed that there are irregularities in today’s round of voting in the party election.
To a question, Tian Chua declined to speculate whether there had been vote-rigging but said an investigation must be conducted.
“We don’t want to say rigging or not rigging. There is definitely irregularities that require investigation.
“We don’t want to accuse anybody for rigging the votes, the issue is there are some odd phenomenon that require explanation. We will have to study in depth,” he told reporters today in Lukut, Port Dickson.
He said he would talk to divisional leaders and collect evidence of the irregularities and bring to the matter to the party’s central election committee.
Meanwhile, Zuraida who is also the Ampang MP said there is something “not right” about the outcome of elections in several Federal Territories divisions in today’s party elections.
“This is because votes for division chiefs that (supported deputy president candidate Mohd Azmin Ali) didn’t tally with Azmin’s votes.
“For instance in Bandar Tun Razak, a chief got over 700 votes where Azmin only got 500 votes. We wonder where the other votes went to,” she said, adding that the same had also occurred in Bera, Pahang.
“This is something that we find very strange,” she added.
Asked if the duo would be pursuing a recount, both said recounts are not possible under the electronic voting system adopted by the party.
Today is the third week of PKR’s party election, which saw deputy presidency candidate Mohd Rafizi Ramli take a slim lead over Azmin.
Voting will continue for another five weekends until Nov 10.
Tian Chua and Zuraida are seen to be aligned with Azmin’s camp in the election.
