MA63 committee to be presented to Cabinet this week, says minister

KUCHING: The full line-up of the special cabinet committee formed to review and coordinate the implementation of the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) will be presented to the cabinet this week, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Liew Vui Keong said.

He said the memorandum on the Committee had also been sent to the relevant ministries.

“We don’t really have to go and look into historical things because there are many common issues that have been agreed upon by us and I think we will look straight into the implementation of the MA63,” he told reporters after visiting the Kuching Courts Complex in Petra Jaya near here.

Also present were Chief Judge of Sabah and Sarawak David Wong Dak Wah, Federal Court Chief Registrar Latifah Mohd Tahar and JPM Legal Affairs Division director-general Jalil Marzuki. -FMT
