Not enough done to explain gov't policies - Muhyiddin

The Pakatan Harapan government has not done enough to explain its policies to the people, said Home Affairs Minister Muhyiddin Yassin.
"We have not gone full steam ahead to explain to the rakyat what our policies are all about.
"There are some general feelings at the lower level that Harapan is not continuing with our policies [...]
“This is not true but because of the situation we are facing today and the state of the economy, it needs time before we can really get over it.
"As Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad mentioned, while this is taking place, the average man on the street cannot wait.
"(If we ask them) can you wait until next year? (They will say) it is too late, we will be dead by then," he told a press conference at the Bersatu headquarters in Petaling Jaya today.
He said despite improvements to the economy, the rakyat had yet to feel the effects.
"My relatives in Muar will complain to me [...] and I know it is true," he said.
Muhyiddin also revealed more details about Bersatu's second annual general meeting to be held for three days from Dec 28 at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (Picc).
He said they are expecting 1,600 delegates to attend the meeting and assured that they will be given a free hand to debate whatever they want barring certain sensitive issues.
In order to facilitate a free debate, the media will not be allowed to cover the delegates' speeches, he said.
However, he said that the party leadership will summarise the points brought up in the debates for a press conference to be held afterwards. - Mkini
