Cop's heartwarming gesture carrying elderly woman across street earns praise

GEORGE TOWN: Cradling an elderly "ah ma" as he helped her cross a wet slippery road, a policeman was seen going above and beyond his duties.

In a heartwarming video filmed by a bystander, the policeman, dressed in his dark blue uniform, can be seen helping the senior citizen cross a road to a local market.

The policeman carried the elderly woman's bag and patiently helped her while she took tiny steps holding her two walking sticks.

Another policeman was seen holding up traffic along Lebuh McNair as she crossed the road aided by the policeman and a motorcyclist.

As the woman reached the halfway point of the street it appeared that she was struggling to walk, prompting the policeman to lift her in a cradling manner, walking sticks in tow across the street and into the Cecil Street market in George Town here.
