The Health Minister has denied claims of making the Covid-19 booster dose compulsory for all Malaysians.
Dr Zaliha Mustafa said the statement in a Facebook page, which stated such claims while using her photo is not only inaccurate, but was made with malicious intent.
She said no such statement was ever made in making booster doses mandatory.
"The public is urged to remain cautious and always check if any news shared is fake news. If unsure, don't share," she said on her Facebook page Thursday (Jan 5).
She was commenting on a Facebook post by an account named “Info Politik Terkini” which claimed that the ruling was made as "3mil tourists from China will be visiting Malaysia soon".
