BANTING: Two security guards have been arrested on suspicion of beating a man to death in a fight over drugs last week.
The fight broke out close to a grocery store near here when the victim, a lorry attendant, was suspected of distributing drugs in the area.
The 24-year-old man was assaulted with blunt objects before members of the public who witnessed the incident reported it to the police at about 10.45pm on Jan 11.
Kuala Langat police chief Ahmad Ridhwan Nor said police found a bag containing 10 packets of syabu weighing 3.93g, with an estimated value of RM2,000 carried by the victim.
The man was taken to hospital but died at about 2.15am on Monday from strong blows to the head.
The two security guards, aged 41 and 31, have been remanded. One of them was found to have a criminal record related to drugs. Police are still looking for the other suspects. - FMT
