Mercedes found scratched, tyres punctured – couple nabbed

 

Police said the owner found his car had been scratched, the tyres punctured and the tail lights smashed.

KUALA LUMPUR: Police have detained a couple for allegedly committing mischief by vandalising a Mercedes-Benz A200 car at Taman Lembah Maju in Pandan Indah here last night.

Ampang Jaya district police chief Farouk Eshak said the couple, both aged 45, were arrested at 11pm. A screwdriver and car key believed to have been used in the incident were among items seized.

Farouk said the car owner found that the vehicle had been scratched, all four tyres punctured and the tail lights smashed on the morning of Jan 15. The car had been parked in front of his house

Farouk said the couple were believed to have been dissatisfied after being scolded by the complainant. They have been remanded until Thursday to assist in the investigation. - FMT
