Amidst Sabah’s political turmoil, Umno supreme council member Abdul Rahman Dahlan said Sabahans deserved to have political stability.
“Do you people have any sympathy for Sabahans or even an iota of it? They are struggling and facing economic challenges and the people deserve a breather from political squabbles.
“Surely you can’t be politicking for 24 hours (a day),” he said.
Upset over the matter, Rahman (above) said the people were getting angry and disgusted over the recent political developments.
“Democracy not only demands patience but it is also a pillar of the institution.
“Without patience, democracy will not last,” the former minister mentioned.
On Jan 6, several Sabah BN and Umno representatives rescinded their support for Hajiji Noor as the state’s chief minister, citing a breach of trust.
However, five Sabah Umno assemblypersons dissented and backed Hajiji.
