PETALING JAYA: Health minister Dr Zaliha Mustapha has assured that the ministry is working towards resolving the overcrowding at the emergency department in Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL).
She said the long queues was not solely a HKL issue, neither was it a new one.
“We are aware of the problems in the emergency department (of HKL). It is not a new issue, and it is not only in HKL,” she told FMT.
Zaliha was responding to a photograph making the rounds on social media of a crowded emergency department in HKL.
She added that she has called for an audit of the situation and the medical practice division is currently working on it.
