The high-impact digital creative and animation sector has been identified as among the new focus areas in the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) agenda to drive the development of the nation’s human capital, said Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
The deputy prime minister said the sector is an economic ecosystem capable of producing skilled talent, creating high-value job opportunities and elevating Malaysia’s image on the global stage.
“Earlier this afternoon, I received a briefing on a new initiative involving a national project related to TVET, designed to drive human capital development, particularly through a high-impact digital creative and animation industry approach.
“This approach, which links training, industry, and the creation of intellectual property, should be explored seriously and in stages,” he said in a Facebook post.
He said the TVET agenda will continue to be strengthened to remain relevant to future industry needs, including the rapidly growing digital creative sector.
