Bau police chief Haide A Rahman says the suspect injured his right finger after being cut by window shards.

District police chief Haide A Rahman said an officer reported the incident at 1pm, Borneo Post reported.
“About 20 minutes earlier, a police officer saw a man walking towards the police 4WD and brandishing a hammer hidden in his jeans. The man then struck the left rear window of the vehicle until it shattered.
“The same officer then apprehended the suspect. The man injured his right finger after being cut by the window shards,” he said in a statement.
Initial investigations revealed that the suspect allegedly committed the act after hearing accusations that he was a whistleblower on drug-related activities in his village.
The case is being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code for mischief and causing damage to property, and Section 90 of the Police Act 1967 for disorderly conduct at a police station. - FMT
