BERSATU President Muhyiddin Yassin recently disclosed that opposition leader Hamzah Zainudin was expelled after allegedly initiating negotiations with UMNO without the party’s knowledge.
According to him, Hamzah had committed numerous breaches, the most serious being his alleged role behind a movement that caused internal divisions within the party.
“His offences were many and piled up, which is why the matter was brought before the disciplinary board, as far as I know. I do not think it is appropriate to go through them one by one because a decision has already been made, based on solid grounds for why the action was taken,” Muhyiddin said.
He added that Hamzah planned to steer Bersatu into cooperating with UMNO and forming a government. On another note, Hamzah revealed that he will continue his political struggle by leading Parti Keluarga Malaysia.
A total of 13 Bersatu MPs continued their support for him to retain his position as the leader of the opposition. — Focus Malaysia
