Malaysians want these parking shame cards and they are savage

THERE ARE few things in Malaysian life more certain than death and taxes. It is someone double parking by the side of your car and prohibiting you from leaving.

But apparently, social media has found the solution humanity has been waiting forshame, laminated into card form.

A post by netizen @kamaghul sent Malaysians howling for it showcased a calling card that insults a driver for causing inconvenience to others.

All you had to do was slip the card right onto the windscreen of the offending vehicle and walk away. No rage, no violence.

But the cards are not subtle nor are they diplomatic. They are essentially the equivalent of being slapped with a wet fish in public.

On the card, the words, “You are parking cruelly,” could be seen in red bold and as the footer, “Please consider to retake driving classes because you suck at parking.”

At the back, you could even tick on several of the boxes which highlights the driver’s offense, as though you are a traffic police, minus the authority.

And honestly? Malaysians are impressed. Because for years, the public has suffered in silence against motorists who park diagonally.

Others abandon vehicles in disabled parking spots despite possessing no visible disability other than overwhelming audacity.

Naturally, Malaysians online immediately embraced the insult-card concept with the enthusiasm of people who have spent years bottling up their rage.

These cards solve that problem elegantly. Netizen @Reiiz6 said he wanted to buy them and even inquired if they are available on Shopee.

Also, @md_diy felt that the words in the cards are too polite and that they could be more harsh.

Then there was a devilish @sonofdeen who suggested the use of stickers instead as these are more difficult to remove.

But perhaps the insult cards hit the sweet spot. No shouting. No tyre-slashing. Just a small rectangular piece of cardboard quietly informing someone that society has reviewed their parking and found it spiritually offensive.

Frankly, it may be the most peaceful innovation Malaysia has produced in years. — Focus Malaysia
