
KUALA LANGAT: Police are tracking down two masked men who committed an armed robbery on a petrol station in Jalan Klang-Banting, Jenjarom, yesterday.
The suspects fled in a car after stealing RM798 in cash and several boxes of cigarettes.
Kuala Langat police chief Superintendent Mohd Akmalrizal Radzi said police were alerted to the incident at 10.18pm via a distress call from a woman.
"The caller said she saw two masked men at the station counter.
"One of them was armed with a parang, while the other was holding an object resembling a pistol," he said in a statement today.
The case is being investigated under Sections 395 and 397 of the Penal Code for gang robbery and armed robbery, which carry a maximum jail term of 20 years and whipping upon conviction.
Police urged those with information to come forward. - NST
