Raving for blood at The Rain Rave Water Festival 2026; attempted stabbing thwarted

EVEN BEFORE it began, The Rain Rave Water Festival 2026 has been attracting a lot of controversy. And when we thought things would cool down with all the spurting water, boy were we wrong.

Apparently some participants weren’t only raving for the rain. They were raving for blood too. Take it from a video post on X by netizen @mhmmdhsm which transported us into a nightmarish scene.

There, a lady was attempting to stab a man, only for her to be apprehended. No one knows what she was trying to do.

Maybe she is continuing an age-old ritual which requires a human or animal sacrifice to the rain god to bring down the rain.

Regardless, members of the security are not having any of that. Netizen @HajemanS2 who saw the video said in the comment section that perhaps the man had agitated her first, prompting the violent reaction.

Another netizen said it was fitting for those who wanted to attend such events. Then there was @TaskForceMalay claiming that the lady was an agent of the jews, sent here to brand Islam and the Malays as extremist.

The comment section quickly took on a racist overtone.

Also, @BrunoBulletin lamented that Bukit Bintang is turning into a dangerous place. “Relying on bystanders to stop a stabbing is not a solution it is a sign the system failed. These random attacks are getting out of hand and eventually someone is not going to be lucky enough to have people step in. Absolute madness,” he added.

Perhaps the best comment goes to @dan_nayl88 who suggested the man tickle her armpit so that she will release the knife.

Thankfully, a family member of the stabber turned up to explain the situation.

Apparently the lady was mentally unsound, hence the attempted stabbing right in front of the public.

Yet the info also raises a dozen vital questions. Why let her out in the first place if she could harm others.

Or more importantly, could her caretakers be held responsible if someone got hurt? — Focus Malaysia
